Lighting
Lighting
Stage lighting is run as a grandMA3 onPC setup — the Lighting PC (in the
M21-right rack) is the brain, not a standalone console. DMX reaches the fixtures
through ETC Net3 gateways distributed around the room. Architectural/house
lighting is a separate ETC system on the same network. Shows, the
gateway/relay map and the 2018 handover binder are in
Lighting/.
Network
- VLAN 22, subnet
10.0.22.0/24, DHCP (authoritative) and gateway from IT’s UniFi gateway at10.0.22.254(black cabling). See Networks. - There’s no dedicated lighting switch — the M21 M4250 carries the lighting network now (the old Cisco SG-300 has been retired).
DMX gateways (ETC Net3)
| Gateway | Role |
|---|---|
LX1–LX4 (10.0.22.11–14) |
above the stage — DMX to the overhead bars (electrics) |
FOH1–FOH3 (10.0.22.21–23) |
front-of-house bars — FOH1 closest to stage, FOH3 farthest |
M21 (10.0.22.31) |
M21 area |
Stage (10.0.22.32) |
stage (a 4-port ETC gateway lives Under-Stage Left) |
House-light (10.0.22.33) |
house lights |
A relay map lists which DMX address / relay feeds each fixture — handy for killing power to a blown lamp mid-show.
Architectural / house (ETC)
- ETC Paradigm architectural control processor (
LX-PARADIGM-ACP,10.0.22.50) — presets, macros, station lockout and relays. How to reach it over the network is on the Paradigm control page. - Relay panels (
LX-SENSORIQ-1/2/3,10.0.22.51–53) — these are mostly relay panels, not dimmer racks. - A single 12-port dimmer panel exists but is driven over DMX, not
Ethernet, so it isn’t on
10.0.22.x.
Notes
- ETC’s architectural gear (Paradigm/relays) uses ETC’s proprietary Net3/ACN — it does not expose SNMP, so it can’t be polled by the monitoring stack.
- An ENTTEC pixel controller (
10.0.22.148) drives pixel-mapped fixtures.
